Clay Workshops with Juli Bharucha

Every year I plan a few workshops from my studio with the maximum of four participants. This allows each person to develop projects on an individual basis with support and guidance to achieve their aim. Many of my clients find the smaller group settings nurturing, with time for experimentation and one to one support.

The workshops are structured and broken down into a “step by step" approach, enabling both complete beginners and those with more knowledge to equally participate, creating something they may not have expected to!

Having worked with clay for many years I enjoy sharing my lifelong passion through teaching and am constantly amazed at the wonderful things made and the way in which each person develops ideas.

The aim of the day is to enjoy the process of creating, relaxing with lots of coffee and cake for inspiration.

Juli is an amazing tutor! I had not touched clay before and was very nervous about the workshop, which was a gift from my son. I honestly can’t believe what I was able to make! Juli put me at ease guided me through each technique, gently helped when I got in a muddle - I would thoroughly recommend her. Thank you for a wonderful day.

I had a very calming and restorative tutorial: the ceramic tile practical was very enjoyable, and a rewarding
creative process. Juli is a very experienced and thoughtful teacher, who provided lots of encouragement
and made us feel very looked after.

I absolutely loved every minute of the Glug Jug Workshop, Julie’s warm and supportive presence put’s everyone at ease whilst carefully guiding us through each stage of the process, almost effortlessly! I really appreciated the fact that Julie never made us feel rushed, and even allowed extra time to finish our jugs until we were totally happy with them! Thank you, I will definitely be back!
